This task requires both position and order. It is different from the Visual Memory Test, which presents several locations simultaneously and does not require an order.

Level and accuracy describe performance in this implementation. They are not an IQ score, a memory diagnosis, or a standardized memory-span result.

How the Ordered Sequence Works

A round generates a sequence of grid indexes and reveals them in order. Input opens only after the final cue. Selecting a wrong position, or a right position at the wrong step, counts as an incorrect attempt.

The starting level is three. A completed sequence raises the level for the next round; reset returns the level and counters to their initial state.

Reading Level and Accuracy Together

Accuracy is correct completed attempts divided by all completed attempts. A high level reached after very few attempts carries less context than several rounds at the same setup.

Keep the device, display size, sound, and interruption level stable when comparing sessions. Familiarity with the grid and cue rhythm can change results.

What This Recall Task Cannot Establish

A browser sequence does not isolate working memory from visual encoding, motor input, strategy, or practice. It cannot assess a memory disorder or predict school or work performance.
