This page records how long it takes to select a randomized set of numbers in order and how many incorrect selections occur. The center is not a mandatory fixation point, and the task does not calculate peripheral-vision width or reading comprehension.
Grid size, direction, timed limits, screen size, pointer method, and familiarity change the run. Use the same setup for personal history; do not interpret one result as a medical, vision, or reading-speed conclusion.
Normal mode starts at 1 and moves upward. Reverse mode starts at the largest number and moves downward. Timed mode keeps ascending order but adds a grid-dependent limit. An incorrect cell increments the error count without advancing the expected number.
The timer begins when the run starts and stops after the final required number. The result panel keeps time, errors, grid, and mode separate instead of combining them into an unexplained attention score.
Larger grids contain more targets and use smaller cells at the same viewport width. Touch, mouse, trackpad, zoom level, and viewing distance create different selection costs. Repeating a board size can also improve search strategy through familiarity.
For comparable history, keep grid size, mode, device, browser zoom, and input method fixed. Look at several recent completed runs and their errors before focusing on a best time.
Completion time does not directly measure peripheral vision, reading speed, comprehension, intelligence, or neurological health. This web grid is not equivalent to a professionally administered or standardized assessment.
